Natalie + Kyle’s wedding was the last wedding of the 2009 season for us, and let me tell you - we went out with a BANG! :)  The details of the wedding were fabulous, and the reception was seriously one of the best parties I’ve been to in a LONG time. :)  Thanks in huge part, to the DJ, Shawn D.  He was FANASTIC.  He had EVERYONE on the dance floor (I’m talking even the grandparents were on the floor dancing!).  If you’re engaged, look him up!!! :)  Natalie is a fellow Butler alumna, so I knew we’d hit it off from the start.  She was uber cool and relaxed from the beginning of the day, and she and Kyle both have such an awesome sense of humor.  I love, love, LOVE everything about this wedding and more importantly, Natalie + Kyle!! :D  May you have a lifetime of love and happiness!!!

This is Natalie’s mom’s wedding ring.  It was a bit small for Natalie, so BOOOYAH!  I suggested she wear it on her necklace for safe-keeping.  Love it!

Natalie + Kyle decided to do a “First Look” which is always a great idea if you want to have an intimate first meeting and have PLENTY of time for lots of photographs without making guests wait at the reception for the bride and groom to arrive.  LOVE it when my brides and grooms decide to do a First Look!

I love joking around with the wedding party.  This little fella had me in STITCHES!!  I was joking, and asked him, “So, you’re great at this - are you really a model?”  He didn’t miss a beat - “I’m in the business.”  What a hoot!! :)

This holiday season, I’m participating in the Giving is Awesome project.  Giving is Awesome is a simple effort by photographers worldwide to give back to their communities.  Since I know what you’re really looking for are the contest details, here we go, folks:

And because what’s a post without a photo?  This photo always gets me in the holiday spirit!!

 

Oh my gosh, Holly + Nick’s wedding was simply amazing.  All the sentimental details were so carefully thought out - from Holly wearing her mom’s dress to the jewelry she wore was just breathtaking.  Holly + Nick are absolutely perfect for each other, and what a gorgeous couple they make!! :o)  The rain poured the night before the wedding, but come time for the ceremony, we had beautiful blue skies!!  Holly + Nick, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day.  I know that you’ll have a lifetime of happiness and love!! 

The story of this bracelet is AHHHHHMAZING.  Holly + Nick live in the house that Holly’s mom grew up in.  About fifteen months ago, Holly’s mom passed away. A couple days after the funeral, Nick was cleaning up the kitchen and as he put something into the pantry, he found a wad of duct tape.  As he carried it to the trash can, he could feel something hard inside the tape.  He unwrapped a blue velvet bag, and inside was a diamond, sapphire and platinum bracelet.   After talking with some of her relatives, Holly found out that the bracelet belonged to her grandmother.  I’ve also included a photo of the shadow box Holly + Nick had at the reception detailing the discovery of her “Wedding Gift from My Mom.”  Everyone who read it was in tears!!

Holly wore her mom’s wedding dress and veil.  The wedding was full of sentimental details - I loved it! 

This candle was in honor of Holly’s mom.  The corsage was a beautiful touch.

Another one of those sentimental details - Holly + Nick included photos of all their relatives who were there in spirit. 

YOWZAS!  Look at that bling!!  All the diamonds in Holly’s rings are from her mom’s wedding bands.
