Jessica + Ross were married in Columbus, Indiana, on June 13th. Jessica + Ross met at Purdue, where they fell in love. They had a gorgeous ceremony performed by Ross’ dad, and a great celebration after the ceremony! I hope you have a lifetime of love, Jessica + Ross!!
I had the pleasure of shooting this wedding with Brooke and Pedro. :o)

Shaylie is a high school senior representative for me for the Class of 2010 at Sheridan High School. You’ll recognize Shaylie from some of the photos posted earlier with Haleigh. Seniors can get together in groups and do their senior photos if it makes them more comfortable and if they’d like to have several photos together. What a fun session for seniors (we have quite a bit of fun, too!)!!
Thanks, Shaylie - I’m so excited for you to be repping for me this year!! :o)

LOVE this one! :o)

Work it!! Haleigh and Shaylie were sooo much fun to work with! :o)

Haleigh and Shaylie decided to do their high school senior photo shoots together - which was soooo much fun! Here are a few of the photos of the two of them together… Shaylie’s photo shoot will be posted in a little bit… Enjoy!!

In the far left photo, there was a motorcycle that in the background. Haleigh + Shaylie were so “into” the shoot, that they didn’t hear the cycle coming… Hence, Haleigh’s face in photo #2. :o) We all had a hearty laugh at that one!

Haleigh is one of my fabulous Class of 2010 reps! Haleigh is going to be a senior at Sheridan High School. I am so excited to have such a great group of reps for the Class of 2010!! In fact, I’ve had so many inquiries, I’m already opening up the application process for the Class of 2011!! Look for a blog post about that next week! :o) Thanks, Haleigh - you ROCKED it! :o)

Haleigh’s eyes are ama-ZING!! YOWSA!!!

Haleigh plays softball and wanted to display some of her t-shirts from the Shockwaves team…

Haleigh trying on her “gangsta” look… And she ROCKED it. ;o)

And some high-key black and whites that showcase Haleigh’s spirit and gorgeous eyes!!!

I have always believed that giving back (or paying it forward, however you want to call it!), is UBER important to be successful in life. As a photographer, I am often given the opportunity to give back to those in the community (like Trey & Blake’s fundraiser a few months ago), but I wanted to do more. When I heard about Operation: Love Reunited, there was no doubt in my mind that it was the perfect organization for me!
Operation: Love Reunited is a program to help military families get lasting memories before deployment or upon return. I pulled this from their blog because it sums up what I feel their program is about. “…the last thing on your mind when your wife or husband arrives home after a 4 to 18 month tour, is capturing all this love– on film. Most people are so overwhelmed with emotions they forget to simply point and shoot the camera they are grasping of their child’s first hug, or that single tear of relief from a mother being able to hold her twenty year old son again.”
So if you or anyone you know of is being deployed or having a homecoming, and would like a professional lifestyle photography session, please visit Operation: Love Reunited’s site, or contact me directly via the contact tab above.
The details for military families: once you have your deployment orders, contact me to set up a session. Not only will the deployed parent/spouse receive a mini-album while deployed, but you’ll receive 50% off all prints and other products. Once homecoming is scheduled, let me know and I’ll come with you to capture the reunion as well! There is NO further obligation, there is NO catch. These are COMPLIMENTARY services because I appreciate all you do to protect our freedom. :o) So, pass this along, check out the Operation: Love Reunited site, or contact me to schedule your professional lifestyle portrait session!

Ahhh, the weekend before last was a busy one with four (that’s right - FOUR!) photo shoots! One of those awesome four shoots was Brittani + Drew, one of my October 2009 wedding couples! :o) I worked with Brittani at the Butler Business Accelerator, and was soooo super excited when she wanted me to photograph her wedding! Her fiance Drew is really nice and it was great to get to hang out with them before the big day so that we could get to know one another a little better. :o)
Brittani + Drew met while they were both students at Butler University, so… of course we had to do some of the photos there! Then, we headed over to the IMA for some more casual portraits… Brittani + Drew, I had so much fun with you guys - and I simply can’t wait until October!!

Melissa + Shawn are a suuuuper sweet couple that is getting married in September. We met up the last weekend in May to do their photo shoot, which was so much fun! I absolutely adore these two and cannot wait for their wedding during Labor Day weekend in Richmond!! :o)

Baby Ian is no stranger to the blog… He was being photographed before he was born, with his momma’s baby shower! And, of course you’ll remember Baby Ian’s arrival, just two months ago. It’s amazing to me how little ones grow so darn quickly! James and I were over at the Robinson’s Memorial Day weekend, so we snapped a few of the cute little guy!

Last weekend, I met up with one of my great 2009 couples… Sara + Jason. Sara graduated with my sister, just a couple years after me, so we grew up together. :o) I was so excited when I found out she was engaged and even more excited when she asked Megan (my sister) and I to be a part of their special day!

I love the bling!

Umm.. Sara’s eyes are YOWSA!!!

We had fun finding out that this is “their pose.” :o) Relaxed, loving, snuggling… THEIR POSE! :o)

I promised Sara I’d tell the story that led to this GREAT photo… We were walking the main street of Zionsville, and there is an “Old Town Clock Shop.” Well, the font, at a glance, made it look like ‘Old Town Cock Shop.” A little later, while trying to get some other photos, a meat truck drove by… Of course, I couldn’t help myself… I said, “Well, it must be on its way to the ‘Cock Shop.’” Oye vey… I know it’s lame, and you probably had to be there for it to be funny, but well… I’ll do just about anything for a great, natural portrait… :o)

Thanks, Sara and Jason… I can’t wait until your wedding in September!!
Here’s a sneak peek of Sara + Jason’s engagement shoot from this afternoon…
